Double Skim Scalding Grizzly Latte
Apparently, pancakes made into special shapes or toast with the Virgin Mary's imprint are no longer superstars in urban Americans' a.m. lineup:
From The New York Times:
"At cafes that are part of what some call the artisanal coffee movement the drinks reflect an obsession with each detail of the journey from farm to cup and an almost cultish pride in the results."
Although my practical side (which, let's face it, composes <1% of my personality) knows that the fussiness of this "art" is a bit ridiculous, I gotta admit that the other 99% of me loves the idea of feeling even more pampered by having graceful scalloped patterns carefully sculpted into my $4 coffee drink's foam. And there are even a few videos to guide you in creating your own foamy compositions...

Is it sad to admit that I used to make designs in my coffe (not nearly as creative or time-laden as these) during my cafe' days at Narnes and Boble???
That's right, I can make a latte like it's nobody's business.

I love it; yet I'm fairly sure I'll never practice it.
