The Prof and I had a crazybusy week...two concerts (Morrissey, who walked off stage after 20 minutes, never to return and Wilco, who, conversely, played for over two hours ) plus painting the new study (with one coat of a "no" color and two of its replacement hue,) and trying to pack/move as much ourselves before this weekend.
Not to mention the 90+ degree temps that hit The Bean from Monday through last night, making everything seem like a tedious chore. Luckily, there is no better reason to pop into Starbucks to check out the summer frosty drinks than oppressively warm weather. I took the opportunity to discover a new summer treat...the Raspberry Mocha Frappucino. YUM! Also, I noticed that they're offering a special summer coffee bean blend, called Gazebo. While looking at the bag's artwork, I saw a recipe for making citrus iced coffee with the blend, which basically instructed:
- brew the coffee double strong
- chill
- pour over ice
- add orange slices
The only other thing of note to mention is that I succumbed to some internet Hype and bought a Super Cool new mop for our apartment. I still haven't figured out a way to get BKP to wear the Cool 'N Dry Pet Shammy. Also, has anyone ever looked up "Danish Modern" in the furniture section of Ebay? Holy schnikes -- I'm overwhelmed! Finally, The Move is on Sunday and, if the cable man actually does come and hook everything (including the Inter-net) up tomorrow, I'll have a full report come Monday.
Pray to the moving gods for me,
Blogorelli
ps: Speaking of Hype, how could I not mention that the iPhone goes on sale tonight?!? This thing has so much Hype out there that I practically hyperventilate just typing the word. Fan me, Mac Rumors.

zing! geesh Hungarian, how do you really feel about "the other man in my life"
that stinks he bailed early on the concert...didn't that happen when you saw him in Cinci too?
when I saw him in Chicago, he played for nearly 2 hrs and ripped off his shirt at least 3x! it was heaven.

those sound like my kind of concerts...2 hours of wilco and 20 minutes of nails on chalkboard. i guess that would be the only thing that would convince me see morissey in concert...the hope that he would walk off the stage 20 minutes into it.

good luck with the move!!!
Beware the ebay danish modern search...much of the furniture therein is fake American furniture built cheaply in the 70's 10-30 years after the true Danish stuff arrived on these shores. If you like it and it looks durable, give it a shot but don't expect it to be made in Denmark or made well. Case in point...Heywood Wakefield.
Happy Hunting!
