Longtime readers may remember Nico, the adorable daschund owned by Lil Kim's sis Lindsay. I featured his struggle against the elements -- and doggie outerwear -- during a blizzard in the Winter of 2005. Now, the world at large, or at least the greater Chicago area, has the chance to exult his utter cuteness because he's a finalist in the Chicago Tribune/Red Eye Cute Cog Contest!

Speaking of dressing pets up in costumes, this weekend I saw the cutest dog/cat outfit at Old Navy -- a COWBOY! Perhaps the photo below is a glimpse into BKP Sophia's Halloween future? I just can't get enough of the little hat...

Sadly, Nico's getting beaten by stupid Ripley. Too bad Lindsay was required to submit a photo of Nico sans clothing. If anyone saw those Chicago winter pics, he'd be cleaning up...

funny. a friend and I bought that dog costume a few weeks back for her dog. it's really cute in person! perhaps you will be able to witness it when you are here this weekend?!
